I’ve been scoping out Dorota’s fashion illustrations for several months now. As a fellow artist and a mad fashion enthusiast, I became enamored by her re-interpretations of the fashion world.
It all started with a Karl Lagerfeld and Choupette artwork (the main image). She then unfurled a fantastic selection of Chanel muses and high fashion icons on her Instagram, each one poking fun and making the fashion scene a bit more lighthearted and approachable. Her latest creation? An illustration of yours truly. It took me a few stares before I noticed the chameleon’s message on my head!
If you’ve ever drawn or painted, you know the intensity of the process and the amount of time it takes to develop a fashion illustration idea. Dorota does an amazing job bringing simplicity into her artwork. Rather than filling things up with simply straight-forward clothes she infuses each character with a unique personality and playfulness.
